First attempt with slugs. Was a cold 40 degrees.

Thanks…a good slug is able to bring a modicum of the precision element to 100y BR with air. It would be nice to see 100y BR shot with air on a regular sized target rather than the enormous ones needed for pellets. I think all 25 of these could just about fit in the same real estate of one bull of the typical 100y pellet targets. Would open up a lot more ranges to be used without the expense of crafting custom target frames that would never be used any other time.

Mike,

I agree that it would be nice to have a "reasonable" sized target that was similar to the RMAC/EBR targets. Maybe print just to the 7 or 8 ring. It could be the default target for 100yd slugs and great for practice with pellets.

I have never shot slugs, but on the occasions where I "practice" for RMAC, I use the USBR target. I figure that if you can't keep all of your shots on the 2" outer ring you will not be in the running at an actual match (assuming halfway decent conditions). If I miss with one or two shots it may not be the end of the world... just have to throw in a few extra 10's. I only "practice" a few times per year, so I think those who shoot often should not have a problem with the smaller target.
