There is still way more luck required to win than I care for.

Most of the luck needed is because of the dumb one card final format.

If it was a 6 card tournament the best shooter would always win....but they don't have time to run a real 6 card tournament because those events are primarily fun shoot formatted. Lots of different events...something for everyone but nothing done like a real match.

I have no interest in the 1 card final 100y pretendrest matches.

Looks like Pyramyd is gonna take a step closer to a real match by having a 2 card final with bench rotation. I applaud that, but still a ways to go.

Mike
I'm working on holding 3-6 card local matches. 3 relays in the morning, 3 in the afternoon. I was trying for this summer but I have to wait for September to gain membership at the club with the facilities to do so. 🤞

You will have a hard time getting anyone to come, I think.

There is no club level foundation for 100y pellet matches. The whole pyramid is inverted. Most of the participants only shoot one 100y "match" per year. Very few are interested in it enough (without the money or glamour) to shoot weekly or even monthly matches.

Heck, I only managed to rope in one regular RF only ( no airgun) shooting friend to start shooting some 2-man N50 RF matches. Most of the RF .22 bench shooters like shooting steel at 50, 100, and 150Y. None of those gus have air guns. I am one of two, out of a thousand members at a private gun club who regularly shoots both air guns and RF.

Best of luck, but my sense is Mike is right here. Most of the CF and RF shooters are intimidated by the cost of the AG hobby.

And, are not interested in 100Y paper target challenges.

Tom.

Yet they drop $5-15K on unlimited RF rigs then they are forever chasing ammo. Makes me scratch my head …

Not to divert, awesome accomplishment Mike! I’m in awel not only of your guns but also in your talent to shoot them.
