Thanks guys, only regret I have on this gun is not having bought it on the spot. Took me 36 hours vacillating over it.
The Pecan tree is actually no good, as it has some sort of fungus. or virus that makes the nuts inedible. However, the tree rats love eating the tasty rinds while green, so in that regard, it's a very productive tree indeed. I call it Black Hole, no matter how many squirrels I dispatch, they just keep getting sucked in. It provides endless shooting opportunities and challenging shots.
As for the HW97, if you are on the fence, just get one, you will not regret it.
I'm pretty sure Doug's squirrel is pretty fat for realz, it kinda looks like it has kankels.

I have the same rifle, that is if it’s 177. I really really like mine, but I wish it would work on coons as good as it does squirrels. I am just a sucker for the blue laminated stocks for some reason. Want an R5M long with the blue lam. now. Nice looking gun by the way.
