Here are two I recently found. The top one is a Daisy model 120 and the other is a Chinese side lever. Both .177 caliber. The Chinese gun shoots great but the Daisy, for some reason unknown to me, will not shoot a pellet thru the barrel. Everything functions as is should and no damage, at the breech or in the barrel is obvious. It appears to put out sufficient air, blowing a hole in paper or leaves, but a pellet travels about half way down the barrel then stops. Recocking it and firing it a second time clears/shoots it. I intend to clean & lube the bore and see if that fixes it. Both guns look good with no cosmetic problems. They were both cheap.
I bought the Chinese one to convert it by restocking it to look like an old muzzleloading Kentucky rifle. I'm looking for a source for octagonal tubing to put around the barrel to complete the look of a Kentucky rifle.

Here's s the look I'm after. I will make the stock look like this. If I use the Chinese gun I will have to make some modifications for the side lever. I like the way the Chinese guns works & shoots so well I might find another gun to use for this project.

the daisy looks like one I rebuilt fir a buddy 10 years ago.IIRC it was a leather seal.I *think* I made a new seal from an online tutorial.When it was back shooting it was reasonably accurate.

The leather seal in the 120 probably needs a good soaking. I wouldn't worry to much about deiseling because it's a low powered gun. 40 years ago I modified the trigger in one by filling the sear notch in part way with solder. It was a great gun for our young sons to shoot. They could cock and shoot on their own.

That Chinese gun looks like a TS45 elite.

After spraying the bore with some automotive brake cleaner and a little oil it shoots every time now. I put a little oil in the hole behind the breech also. Shooting offhand standing from 12-15 yards, it shoots 2-3 inches low but groups well. Tomorrow I will shoot off a rest and adjust the sights.
