My turn to have a leak in my Impact MK2

The dreadful Impact leak issue has happened to me now.

After seeing the pressure slowly dropping and tank emptied, I tried to investigate and found out where the leak was. At least this was what I found thus far.

Air was coming out from the hole behind the trigger lock as shown in the picture.

Anyone has any ideal on how to access and fix this?

If i remember correctly that's the o ring that's in the wall of the regulator housing.

regulator..replace all 5 o rings..I did it a couple weeks ago..not tuff don't be in a hurry..
I could do it again in hour or less..first get the rings..I bought mine from..https://spares.bagnallandkirkwood.co.uk/..Iam sure you can get the @cape fear air guns in Carolina...you tube is your friend on this.
I did a impact X..a 6 year old gun..first leak..all the best

Luckily it's pretty easy to remove the trigger and the regulator and handle it. It could be worse and you'd have to re zero the gun completely afterwards.

Take notes of the plenum pressure and the velocity you had and you should be able to get right back to where you were.

Amp reg. The most common failure piece by an overwhelming margin when it comes to FX in my experience. I would replace all orings and keep extras on hand. At least you only have one of them. Lol

I just fixed three leaks on one of my Impacts. Your leak was one of them. Yes, it’s the dreaded oring down in the reg hole. Just remember, stab and lift. If you start digging around in there you’ll be buying a new receiver.

Thank you all for the replies and tips. I have ordered the O rings kit from Wes and I will do my best to replace them so I can get back to my Impact shooting again. Cheers.

Had this same issue last month I put 2 drops of Super Lube in that little hole
let it sit for 2 days and the leak has stopped just got lucky I guess. Good luck

Interesting solution with the lube. I will need to open up the gun once I get the o-rings and see what happens.

That Oring is a real pita to get out. Installing a new one is very easy if you follow the instructions that Utah airguns has on Utube. I ended up buying a dental pick kit off of Amazon. Before that I couldn't get the Oring to even move. It was really dried out!

Yes, the one I just replaced was hard as a rock. All the drops of magic lube wasn’t going to do anything but prolong the inevitable.
