My quest for the next coyote

Well, I am back at the rat farm after the owner had asked me to take out some coyotes that had recently killed 5 of his chickens. I have tried last year and missed my shot.

So I am back again and this time I found a new spot to setup my ambush location, a loft overlooking the field with unobstructed view.
I thought this would be a slam dunk and a guaranteed to tag my coyote#5. But that wasn't to be, at least not yet.

I have 3 failed attempts where I either didn't get the chance or no sighting of any coyotes when I was there. My trail cam captured lots of coyote footages so they are there, just not when I was there, unfortunately. Timing is everything and hopefully with some luck I will encounter them and drop one.

So for the meantime, enjoy this video. Thanks.

Too much activity on your hunting nights. Try sneaking in. Shoot your bait rats the night before. Don’t park your car there. Don’t drive to that spot on hunting nights. Sneak in quiet. scentless Rubber boots that you didn’t just drive in. Place rats and get in shooting position. No shooting spinners. No confirming zero while hunting, gonna have to trust it.

sneak your call into place. Start real quiet on 1st calling set just in case yotes are close. Too loud they’ll know something is up.

coyote are smart, they know your pattern. Change it.

@Clayshooter25. Patient or insane? lol. So far the timing wasn't right. I retrieved the trail cam after work and found one clip that one coyote showed up this morning at 10:34am. So I might need to try daytime stalking this Saturday.

@Heavyopp. ya, I will be changing my tactics thats for sure. Definitely try to collect rats and then just do as you suggested and see what happens.

Thanks for the input. Fingers crossed that I will run into them one of these nights/days.
