My new video is up!!

I've always found that pellet wobble was from speed or dirty barrels. I had to speed them up in my .22 Matador Long, I had them shooting at just over the 1000fps mark to get them to stabilize. My Wildcat MkI is sending the 25 grain JSBs at 860fps and are always stable. From what i can tell the original smooth twist barrels don't really require any cleaning due to the lack of rifling to get galled up. I don't know how much the MkI and MkII vary between performance speeds though.
Just my two cents.
Thanks for another great video Bob!

Loved the video Bob, as always! Btw, that starling wing dance isn’t unusual. It’s a male and it’s doing that dance as a territorial claim. I find that while they’re doing that dance and making those whirr churning kind of noises is the easiest time to sneak up on them. They seem to be so intent on what they are doing they are not as wary as usual, which might explain you getting more than one shot at him.

Thanks mark.

Yeah, the wobble was very discouraging as many times as it happened. I can put up with an occasional slight wobble, but those were so bad you could hardly track the pellet in slow motion.

I have some things to check this week and then shoot it again with the lighter pellets to see if they shoot straight. Thing is I fired 16 shots in 1" at 50 yards (after zeroing at 50 yards) with the heavy pellets only a few hours before the shots in the video. If they were wobbling then like they were in the vid, there's no way they would have shot 1" on paper.
