Happy Happy Happy is all I can say.A few years ago I traded a nice AZ tuned Rapid Carbine .22 for a std Cricket .25 in skeleton stock. Absolutely loved that gun but in a moment of weakness I responded to to wtb and and sold it. I think it ended up in Puerto Rico shooting Iguanas.Â
Well I've had a few other .22 pcps since then but I really missed my .25. My buddy has a pt .25 from Charlie Frear and it is just awesome. I never thought I would be able to afford a new one but if a used one popped up I might be able to swing it.
As it happens my buddy John is always looking out for me and when one came up he notified me right away so the deal was struck and now I am the proud owner of a CF power tuned .25 Cricket with skeleton stock and a Sumo ldc . It's unbelievable how quiet this 60+ fpe beast is. It is the most powerful airgun I've ever owned and probably the quietest. All you hear when shooting is a click and a whop when the pellet hits the target. I hope to take it out hunting this week while I'm off.
It loves the H&N Grizzly 31 gr and the 33.95 JSB MKII's. Both are shooting right around the 900 fps mark. I had it turned up higher but it wasn't as accurate so I'm keeping them right around 900. That's plenty of power and it gets 48 shots at that setting.
I topped it off with a Discovery 4.5-18x44 ffp scope.
