Sent my old Rainstorm up to Will for a facelift and tune. Told him to work his magic on the ol girl. I asked him to reseal the gun, tune, add a depinger, and cut the barrel back. Recieved the gun a few weeks ago but only today took her out to crony and sight in. However when I recieved the Storm I did shoot her with a Ronin on to see how loud she was. She still had a bark BUT NOT as bad as before and just maybe a little quieter running the Ronin. After running her through the crony I know why she barked. The numbers ran 967, 971, 968, 960, 949, 935, and 926 shooting 44.75’s! No curve to speak of but DAMNNNN! 971 with 44’s
Will also mentioned that should I put the factory spring back in my first shot with 50’s might top out at 980! The sighting group was taken at 15 yards (the clustered group) then took the target back to 30 and shot at the same hole. I’m thinking that this is going to be a Solid 30 yard pig gun! Then I ran the target to 50 where the group moved around and I had one or two fliers. It might be me (most likely) or the gun as I had Will cut off the choke when he shortened the barrel. In his letter he recommends .300 slugs. Guess I’ll be callin Nelson tomorrow!

BUT I’m not worried.... My goal was to turn the Storm into a light carbine hunter to hunt pigs. I’ll probably order a few hammer springs from PA and experiment with settings and maybe tune her down to get a better bell curve.
