My new 'friend"

I recently bought s Competition Electronics Pro Chrono DLX. It is Blue Tooth compatible and I downloaded their free app to my phone. I use my phone as s GPS also and had set the voice to a woman with a British accent. So now when I shoot she announces the speed of each shot. I just think this is so cool.

I have the same chrono w/ an indoor IR lighting kit, and love it!

I did run into a few gremlins though, and I'm not sure if others will too..
IF you get the chance, and want to see what happens if you do the same thing:

I installed the Digital Link app on 2 devices. 1 on my phone and 1 on my PC.

I connected the chrono to the phone, and shot a string..
When done, I saved that data, and sent it to myself via e-mail.

Now, in the Phone App settings, I configured everything to US measurements..
Ex: Feet Per Second / Foot Pounds of energy.

Then I ran the PC app, and imported the file..

When it opened in the PC app, all of the info had been changed/converted..
It read in Meters/second and Joules..

I have no clue how or why, there was no way to correct it,
no one seemed to have an answer to it, or had done the same thing to confirrm..

I have a 'help thread' buried/lost somewhere on here, but still no 'fix'..

*Shrug*

Dan,

Thanks man, yeah, that's exactly what I keep running into..
Looking for a 'default', or at least a settings-option to set that is the 1st thing I tried..
I couldn't find anything. That's when I reached out to Comp Electronics, but, no word..
[I gave up trying to e-mail them but, they do respond to phone calls]

That said, I also gave up trying to do phone app to PC app imports..
One or the other from now on I guess.

👍
