Today I popped in my local firearms dealer.. not looking for anything particular. Just haven't been there in a very long time. The first aisle I walked down I noticed at the end of it several shelves stacked with pellets!! I stand there stunned!!... there was JSB , FX and AA pellets in 22, 25 and 30cal..as I was going through them looking for 22 and 25 pellets in the grain I wanted. some guy who I found out later in our conversation was the new owner of the place who is just like the rest of us.... a full blown airgun nut! The best part is... he is also a FX dealer!!!! There has never been an air rifle dealer within 8 hours of my house before... ok that isnt completely accurate... Indiana airguns is 2 hours from my house and I've been there once a couple of years ago. At that time he was just getting started and was geared more towards budget air rifles. over the years a 100 percent of my business is done online...so I rely on YouTube reviews and you guys here before I purchase anything (thank guys) I have never seen a single one of my rifles before buying one...that can make one a bit nervous when spending over 1k for something you dont get to atleast see... anyway... my local dealer who's 30 minutes from my home! FX dealer... while I was there I handled every FX airrifle he had in stock. Impact compact, wildcat BT compact were my favorites. Man am I excited to find this out today. And even gained someone to shoot with.. as he lives in town and I live on a farm with plenty of area to shoot, he wanted to stretch his impacts legs... and I of course wanna shoot his impact! After he he heard my go to is a RTI Prophet he is very interested in shooting it as well... its definitely been a great day!

Very cool! That's awesome to get to put your hands on some guns. I got to visit AOA a year ago on a vacation and was fun just to handle all kinds of guns. Awesome you can get pellets local now and a buddy to shoot with!

That’s great. Unfortunately there’s no air gun dealers within two hours of me. Except for Wally world and their low grade guns. I’ve had to buy everything I have online also.

I feel your pain.... but when this hobby grabs ya.... your it's got ya... if it wasn't for the internet I would have no idea what a pcp air rifle was.. people like us would never know.

I have always wanted to go to AOA.. I've been talking about it for awhile.. my wife also shoots , she has a brocock compatto 22cal of her own and just ordered her the RTI 22 compact last week and a RTI 25 compact for myself. So it will be pretty easy to get her to travel to AZ to check out air rifles... heck she was with me today and when they handed her the wildcat compact BT in 25 to check out for herself, all she said on the way home is... " I want that rifle too"

It's a big plus to be near one of the addictions feeding grounds. ;^)
Moving to Salt Lake and Utah Airguns is only twenty minutes away.
Drove there once when I was in town a few days back. Plenty of nice guns to choose from but not allot of choices for pellets.
A very nice Indoor shooting range, looks to be around 40 yards, too.

Living in Southern California, I have access to two airgun shops. Sadly, because I do not wish to add an extra $200 in taxes on top of what could conceivably be a $2000 purchase, I’ll seek out dealers in other states who avoid charging me CA state sales tax.
The local shops are nice places and I hope they prosper, and I will buy pellets, etc., but the last thing I want to do is to provide more money through the purchase of large ticket items for this state to spend on social programs I disagree with.

I would be psyched too if I had a high end airgun dealer near me besides the big box stores that sell the usual stuff. The nearest airgun dealer from where I'm at is a 14 hour flight lol.

That will teach me... I'm crying about the time and fuel it takes to see a dealer. but an 14 hour flight...right there is where having access to the internet is a great thing.

Indiana Airguns is maybe 3.5 hours north of my location (near Bowling Green KY ) Still closer than anything else . There is a firearms shop in BG the owner is into Airguns HMMM?
