My LH 601 arrived today!

It arrived at my local post office early this am, I work 12 hour swing shifts and wouldn't be home until after dark today so I called and had them to hold it and my brother went by and picked it up for me. After I got home I went by my brothers and picked up. It was packed well and arrived in good condition. After wiping it down I put the action in the stock, the sights on and adjusted the cheek piece, then off to the shop to shoot. This a completely different animal than my 300's, absolutely no recoil and the report is a crisp snap. The stock is longer and the grip is different than the 300's but feels good in my hand. The trigger is a two stage with quiet a bit of take up and then it breaks clean with no creep. It's accurate too but until I get some time with it I can't say if it's more accurate than my first 300S, the Queen.

Love the 601, should shoot as well or better than a 300. Well worth scoping and stretching out the range, w/out wind they group just fine at 50 yards.

So smooth & SO silent.

Congratulations on the new toy, yes please let us know how it compares to the 300. I love my 603jr takes up 90% of my airgun shooting time, I think the cocking effort is worth it with these guns.

Thanks guys. I shot the rifle some more tonight, about froze to death, it's 46° in my shop right now. My targets are the NRA AR 5/10 10 meter, I shot 494 out of 500. The rifle was shot as received, I didn't even wipe the barrel out and with the pellets that my 300S likes best.

Up close my 300S likes the H&N Finale Match 8.18grs the best. I have actually shot 5 shots through exact same hole with them at 16yds. Give them a try.

Thanks Brad. I tried a bunch of pellets in the 300's and both of mine prefer JSB Match Heavies, 8.26gr.

I shot the new to me 601 last night at an informal 10M benchrest match last night finishing third behind two PCP's, an Anschutz and a Walther. They shot 500/500 and 499/500 respectively, my score was 496/500. There were seven shooters there and only two non PCP's, my 601 and a 300S. I'm pretty pleased considering this is only the second benchrest match I've shot.
