My LCS SK-19 DOES NOT like the JSB Hades .25 cal Pellets

Since my Impact LOVES the JSB Hades (.25 cal) Pellets ... Figured, the SK-19 would as well.



Boy-o-Boy was I dead wrong !!!

All shooting was done from a Bench.

Distance: 25 yards

Temp: 52 F

Wind: 2 - 5 mph



JSB HADES 26.54 gr @ 870 - 890 fps

PREDATOR POLYMAG 26 gr @ 885 - 898 fps

I noticed that the Predator PolyMag pellets fit snug in the magazine v/s the Hades pellets were loose fitting (as in if you spun the magazine - the would move around)

Not sure if that's a Quality Control issue or if the Hades is under-sized v/s the PolyMags are over-sized for a 25 cal barrel.



FWIW - I didn't think minor pellet sizing difference would make much of a difference in accuracy since (I assumed) the LW barrel was choked ... But, I went back and looked at the AoA's LCS SK-19 Product page and don't see any mention of the barrel being Choked ... So - maybe it's not - and that's how/what/why this happened?



Anyone else run into this problem?

I know what you mean when I opened my newest tin of Hades the accuracy I had with them doing .75 to 1" groups @ 75 yards they went to 1.5+ with the new tin.

JSB 18.13 will do .75 to 1 inch at 950 or so fps @ 75 yards

The barrel has a slight choke, those barrels need serious cleaning to shoot accurately from my experience.

My fx dreampup .22 shoot them about the same. I was really hoping to shoot them well! I shoot the 18 grains hole in hole every time so that’s what I’m sticking with! Accuracy over everything else. A lot of people have great success with hades but I can’t get that with mine. I’ve tried everywhere between 850-950 FPS but no go!

I too noticed the .22 Hades fit loose in my Flashpup mags. If not careful, I have had them fall out with the mags loose in my pockets. 

In my .25 Flashpup mags, the Hades fit tighter then the JSB .34. Go figure

Holy cow I say stick with the polymags!!!

Not many guns shoot them like that and I think the terminal performance of the polymags is a little better than the Hades on small game....especially when they're that accurate!

My SK19 in 22 cal, likes the Hades just fine. Must be something weird with the 25 cal ????
