I like a lot of you was very skeptical of the FX Impact when it first came out. I read about all the problems, plus the look didn’t thrill me either. But I kept reading all the threads and I started to get interested, still couldn’t pull the trigger on one. Finally decided I wanted one, so sold a custom flintlock rifle and took the cash and drove 4 hours across Michigan to Precision Airguns and bought one. I have been extremely happy with it and have not made a single adjustment to it as it shot perfect out of the box. Mine is .22 cal. I have shot lots of starlings, sparrows and pigeons at my permission out to 70 yards with it. What I have done though is remove the shroud and install a Donny FL koi and a single point sling which is the main reason for this thread, as I thought some of you guys might be wondering how to sling this rifle. This sling set up cost me less than $20.00 on eBay. The rifle is 30 inches long with the koi on it and so quiet. Here are some pics.
Cahil_2 That looks like a really great and simple setup! Thanks for the pics. Ill be getting something like this for mine when it comes. What kind of mount is it attached to under the scope? Bolt on? Quick release?
I think it's a loop around the barrel where it passes through the two buttresses they're probably a inch and a half or two inches I don't know I haven't measured it but it's very strong because of where is mounted so that would carry the gun well. I never even thought of it.
Mixed with that picatinny rail part off of amazon, this loop plate from Kraford&Lypt makes a good attachment if you want a two point sling. FX Impact Sling Loop Plate
