My HW98

Thought y'all would like to see a photo of a beautiful package. It's a HW98 .22 w/ Athlon Helos. It's dead nutz from 10yds out to 50 and even a little beyond. I'm having a blast with it. Currently w/ a friend getting a new spring and piston seal. Can't wait to get it back. Here's a pic.

I truly enjoy shooting my HW97 and do so every day but there is something about the 98 that keeps whispering in my ear. I just like the look, feel and weight of the gun. Uj

I always thought those HW98s looked sweet. Never had one though.

I did have an R9 Goldfinger that was pretty awesome.

Isn't the HW98 basically a modified R9?

Thanks guys, I'm really happy with it.

I've got a bunch of nice PCPs, but wanted something I could put in the truck and leave there that was always ready and didn't need a ton of support gear. It's my first springer. Doesn't have the distance or power of a PCP, but does really well out to 50yds if I do my part. Artillery hold is hard, but I'm learning.

I believe the HW98 is a HW95 w/ different barrel, breach and stock of course, but the same basic design.

correct the 98/R11 is the same action as the 95/R9, different stock plus barrel weight
