my HW97K T is here

I got my HW97k T yesterday,,I love it, I mounted my bug-buster on it, until i get a real scope, i want more upper power, closer up, I want to see the squirrels eyes pop,

I got one of those squerril targets also, got that set up today out back, 20 yards out, between my bird feeders the squirrels steal from, the holes in the left post are from 357's

anyways, im in my cave, and targets at 20ft, 5 first shots, ringing the bell/pan this rifle is more accurate than i am, and ive been shooting BP competitions with a 45-70 trapdoor for years,

I can't wait to get outside, and get it broke in, Im wanting to get 5 holes in one at 50yards, thats my personal goal,

That's a fine rifle. I always give the barrel on a new rifle a good cleaning before shooting. Expect a break in period of about 3 or 4 hundred pellets. Each rifle is different but that number is the norm. Hope I'm not telling you a bunch of stuff you already know. She's a beauty, congrats.

Way to go on your 97. It's beautiful....I like that thumbhole stock as well, it looks really nice. Really good shooting with it already too! I just got one a few days ago and have not had the opportunity to shoot it yet. Congratulations!

keep shooting, don't worry about tuning right away, try different holds w/different pellets. try sampler pack from straight shooters:

If springers are new to you, you are shooting quite well. And yes, that rifle should be a better shooter than most people's honest ability. Etched reticule was a solid move tho I've not seen that model / Please report on the thickness of cross hairs eh?

Perhaps you have 20/20+ vision and or never a cause or chance to stretch the distance out however it may well turn out that both your rifle and yourself would benefit from some old standard higher power target ish scope. With slight practice you should be able to let your buddies shoot 1 45-70 hole in the paper and then put all your tiny-bore pellet through that hole at 50 yards. Your in for some good clean fun with that rig.
