Been having trouble of late getting my HW77 to group consistently. Tried three different head sizes in the H&N FTT and JSB Heavies. It seemed to like the 5.55 in the FTT but there would always be a few too many fliers for my liking. Did all the usual checks like screws, changed scope even put the sights back on ( wasn’t that a blast, talk about not being able to see the target) but still too many fliers.
I was just about to take it apart when I found a tin of H&N greens in the safe and thought why not. Talk about a transformation, ten shots in a raged hole about two pellets wide at 20 metres. I was stoked. So I’ll be useing the greens for a while. When I first bought the rifle it was very accurate useing FTT 5.50. When I brought my last lot of pellets I must have got several bad tins. My Trail and LGV don’t seem to mind them so I’ll use them up anyway.
Im going into town today to buy another tin of H&N’s to see if there is a difference.
