Was shooting yesterday and gun made different noise, I thought I was out of ammo or what ?
Looked at gun and the pictures hopefully tell what I saw.

Believe it or not,
after installing huben3dparts carbine kit with 2” cnc adapter on my gk1
the other day I noticed my buttstock was moving up and down as I tried to shoulder it,
found out the same bloody screws that hold the picatinny adapter came loose!!!
Tightened them suckers Right away.
now that I m typing and wondering if I ever cleaned these screws before installing cause these new screws usually come with some sort of oil on them for some reason!!!!

Yikes! How did that happen? Almost seems like the screw on the right side was not tightened down… Have you opened up the back at one point? I'll have to double check mine because I did take the back off once.

New parts coming, I don’t know what happened. The plate that holds sight and is screwed in is somewhat mangled.
What would put the pressure on needed to do that?View attachment 567002
The picture you posted here appears to be after you re-assembled (evidenced by the missing sight parts).

One of your earlier photos shows the gun still assembled with sight pieces and what appears to be a very loose screw OR a screw with pulled threads. My suspicion is that it is a very loose screw because you did not indicate pulled or damaged threads.

If the screw was loose, it can safely be assumed that is what caused the issue.

Unless it was something else, lol…

The picture you are showing is one of the first I sent to Kelly, untouched by tools
the sight itself was what I noticed falling to ground. It was not refitted at any time.

I'd recommend having Kelly inspect your GK1. The deformation on that back plate is pretty extreme, the way it's bent outwards like that. I imagine it would take a huge amount of force to bend a thick, solid piece of alluminum like that. You definitely want to make sure there's not some kind of malfunction happening on the inside, which is causing some sort of crazy pressure build-up.

Simply replacing the broken parts and calling it a day might be ill-advized, as it could just happen again if there's a problem with the internals. I somehow have a hard time believing that it was purely because of a loose screw.

SmackDaddy, it's probably too late for you to edit your post, but please be more careful next time as your typo resulted in wasted coffee as it came out of my nose.
