My Haenel collection

Somehow I have managed to build collection of Haenels. Why? I simply cannot resist oddballs.

Those are great! Thanks much for posting on these underrated guns - you have some VERY nice examples.

Pre-war Haenels are absolutely tops in terms of fit-and-finish, just gorgeous guns that make even the Dianas of those days seem a bit lacking!

In the past I've owned examples of the post-war 310 ball-shooting trainer, 311 bolt-action target rifle, and 312 sidelever, and really regret selling them. I'd especially love to have another 311, for the sheer weirdness of the design alone, LOL...the only tap-loading, bolt-cocking, spring-piston target rifle out there. They are VERY difficult to cock, and have power only around 500 FPS, but is absolutely the most accurate tap-loader I've ever shot.

You might enjoy reading Tom Gaylord's take on the 311 from his Pyramyd blog. He also found it absurdly accurate.

Thanks for posting pics of your collection. Your Modell 303 has some interesting differences compared to the Haenel Modell 303-Super that I've had in storage for nearly four decades. I hope to have it spiffed up soon, and I'll post some pictures here then. Currently, I'm working over the many surface rust spots with KROIL & bronze wool.
