I'm new to this whole thing, but on hearing all of these comments, I think I will drill and tap a hole on the opposite end of the probe, install a washer and bolt and just leave it on the gun. Can't get lost, always ready.

You are welcome. It's more inconvenience to me because I have several guns that use different probes. I keep all my accessory gear along with pellets in a toolbox to keep from forgetting something when I go shoot. If I ever lose that toolbox I will really be up the creek.

Hey guys, I've got a very strange problem, maybe you can help. I received the foster adapter today and couldn't wait to get home and pump up my gun for the first time. I assembled the adapter to the probe and first stroke the foster connector blew off, I put it back on and tried again, no seal. I inspected the fittings and realized that when the fitting blew off the o-ring had come out of the foster fitting. I found it and reinstalled it into the fitting and tried again. Once again no seal, I inspected again and the o-ring was not there, I'm totally stumped as to where it went as it had not blown off again. I can't find it , does anyone know what size o-ring goes in a foster fitting? Also, why is the hose so short on the Benjamin pump?

When I started shooting PCPs & learning about them, I was of the mindset that they should all come with Foster fittings. After a while though, I came to appreciate the fill probes. Except for the different sizes! They should come together and have a standard.

yes that is exactly my idea as well once done just put a plug on the foster and you're done

Totally agree probes suck. But, there is differences in foster fittings as well. Kral comes to my mind. The new ones have a foster look a like but still uses a dumb coupler of their own. Why not make it a standard foster fitting?

I personally have no problem using a probe quick connect on tank hose insert probe fill gun done.

I too hate probes. Only have one gun left with a probe and won't be with me much longer. That's not the reason why I'm getting rid of it but will be nice to be down to only foster fills
