BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!
FX Impact Mkll pp .22 700mm superior liner, Hawke Frontier30 4-24, Huma dual TP, Huma pellet probe high flow and DonnyFL Koi!!! Satisfaction!!!

I have both and if you asked me a month ago I would have said the .25 cal hands down, however I converted my .30 cal Impact to a .22 and used a 700 Superior liner and all I can saw is WOW !!! I am shooting the new JSB 25.4 gr KO slugs and am totally blown away with the accuracy out past 200 yards. At 50 yards its ridiculous, pretty much in same hole, at 100 yards I am printing 1/2" groups and today I was shooting a Bush's baked bean can at 175 yards and hitting every time. My regulator is set @ 140 BAR and velocity is just under 1000 FPS. One advantage the .25 has is shot count and efficiency, my regulator is set @ 100 BAR and am shooting 25.4 JSB's around 930 FPS with a huge shot count from a 250 BAR fill, the .25 Impact is pretty accurate out to say 150 yards but the wind pushes pellets around much more than the .22 KO slugs.

Wow !!! After your answer I am even more convinced of the choice I made ... Last Saturday I was just trying the various pellets I bought ... from jsb 18.13, hades and monster redesigned and then also slugs such as fx hybrid, jsb KO and the HN HP 21gr ....
I found them all very accurate up to a distance of 140 meters! just to do the tests, I calibrated at 30 meters and then with the StrelokPro app I set the parameters such as speed, weight and distance and absurdly the pellets went exactly where I aimed at 140 meters !! my regulator is set at 145bar with a KO speed of 25.39gn around 1000 fps ... but I still have to find the right ratio and the most correct dot for my superior liner by testing it on paper!

I have an MK II Impact Compact in .22 cal a few weeks ago. I went with 22 cal because of my current living situation, but plan to get a 25 cal barrel for it. I love the gun and it is packable in a 50 liter backpack which makes it easy to long overlands to your hunting site vs carrying the rifle in your arms or on a sling. I am going to see how the .22 cal works for 100 m bench with the heavier slugs.

I am updating the Impact with a superior liner (when it comes in), Huma tuning regulator and Saber tactical bag rider.

Currently my impact has the Saber Tactical bottle clamp with an Accu-Tac bipod, Element Optics Helix scope with Eagle Vision mounts and DonnyFL 25/30 cal Sumo moderator. The Impact Compact is a bit of a barker, but the Sumo quiets it right down.

For me the .22 Impact Compact was the right choice. I shoot mostly at 25 yards in my suburban backyard. A .25 would have been too much gun for my neighborhood.

I also like "urban hunting" and dispatching pests in my populated area. This requires stealth and projectile containment. My .22 Compact with Donny FL Ronin is dead quiet and the impact of the .22 pellet is quieter than the .25.

On occasion a coyote will wonder into my yard and I'm afraid the .22 might be too little gun for a quick kill. I don't need a wounded coyote wobbling down my street's sidewalk, bleeding, as kids walk home from school.

Just browsing Pyramyd Air you will see there are many, many more pellet varieties than .25. That is a plus.

Given all that, if I had a large property like you stated you do, and there are no government power limits, I'd definitely go .25.

This guy thinks he's "The Lion King" on my backyard wall just 15 feet from kids walking to school. I'd like to cap him.

Well, you could miss with a .25 or .30 cal as well, or just lame the pest with those, too. The .22 can work as well if it were tuned high for a HP slug. They make .22 cal projectiles that are just as heavy as some .25 cal ammo now.

You may or may not be in an urban environment. If in a urban environment, I don't think slugs is what you want as they can travel several neighbors away from you. a .30 cal pellet liner is what I am planning to use for my yote issues. I haven't had the Impact long enough yet to be comfy with a takedown yet. The gun has to be spot on and ready for the task or the yotes walk.

today I was able to test all the various types of pellets I have available ... and I must say that all of them, within 100 meters, are really very accurate! then last I wanted to test the new 34gn Patriot Javelins and their speed dropped dramatically !!! the 25.4 gn JSB KOs were traveling at 1000 fps while they did not go beyond 680 fps !!!
advice?

I still believe that for now, given the setting of my impact, the 26gns are the most suitable!

thank you

after a month I was able to return to the field with a few more updates in the impact, then slug power kit and huma gen 3 HP regulator!
without too many adjustments to find perfection I set the reg at 115 bar, the valve at 3 and 3/4 and the striking mass around 18mm ... of the slug power kit I only mounted the pin probe for the moment ...

before getting my hands on again I want to run in at least 2000 shots
