my first weihrauch

finally decided to get a 50s that i've been eyeing for a while. first non budget springer... it's nice to shoot :). i really should have just bought one of these first, like everybody says

also glad i didn't go with the hunter. seems quiet enough as is for the backyard

Great choice. I believe you’re going to be really happy with your HW50. I actually chose .22 for mine so that I could knock over steel targets at longer range. I may be a bit odd but I’m looking forward to calculating the dope and dropping pellets on steel out at 50 plus yards. I won’t be hunting with it so slight errors and misses will be part of the fun.

once i get the .177 at this fpe down, a .22 may be in the future for the reasons Kgphotos stated. any excuse to keep shooting :)

GY and mj - i was very happy with the stock when i pulled it out. i was already looking for something like a walnut stock before i had it in hand... but am no longer looking after i saw this unique spotty stripey guy!

would love to see your stocks mj!

I’ve only owned 4 Springers and the HW 50 is by far my favorite. I don’t need to use the artillery hold.Just go out and shoot it and it will hit what you’re aiming at every time.

Yep, that's what I love about mine too. I've had an RWS34PC, HW57, HW77, HW97K, and an AATX200 - all of them were hold sensitive. My HW50 shoots the same whehter its offhand, off a bipod, or off a rest. Love it!

My latest is the HW50 in .20 after shooting the HW50 extensively in .177 and then .22. I felt between .177 and .22 was the zone for me to at least try since I am a .20 fan anyway.

There are more powerful ones and maybe more accurate ones but this HW50S in .20 took the best of both worlds--.177 accuracy and .22 power--and joined them truly into one that is more than 100%.

luckybuckeye I also have the HW97K in .20 that I forgot to mention when I joined here talking about the HW50S .20! I never use it anymore because it's a T stock making it impossible for a field gun. Besides that reloading and cocking is way too many things to do with it as an underlever weighing as much as it does.

I found the HW98 .20 to be way better for the field and target. And the HW50S .20 in the new cutaway stock!
