My first rifle

I had two. The first one met the manufacturer’s states shot count the second did not. As is well known, the ST barrel was designed for the jsb pellets. The deal breaker for me was that the accuracy on both of the guns suffered when shooting at the lower power settings. This essentially made one of the features I really wanted null and void. I don’t seem to have that same problem with an older version cyclone and s510, both of which have Lothar Walther barrels.
That being said, I am really looking forward to the STX system and anticipate that will make the barrels less pellet and velocity fussy.

i would hold out for the dreamline if I were you.

My first PCP is a Synthetic Streamline .22 that I’ve had for less than a month. I’ve had 2 minor issues with the gun. An air tube leak that was an easy fix (thanks to Mr. Rowe and this community) and the trigger shoe fell off (not sure how it came loose I’ve never adjusted it) and was easily reinstalled.
I don’t regret my purchase at all. The gun shoots amazingly consistent. I haven’t put 500 pellets through it yet and I’m shooting dime sized groups at 45 yards on Med power.
I haven’t touched high or low power yet, because I wanted to learn a baseline first. And I’m getting around 5 magazines on 1 charge. So roughly 55 shots on Med.
I don’t know how pellet fussy it is because all I’ve shot is JSB. That’s all I shot with my springer. I don’t have any reason to use a different pellet because they will take down all small game that I will be shooting. I purchased 15gr and 18gr pellets. Haven’t touched the 18 yet. I will when I feel that I’ve gotten everything possible out of the 15gr. I’ve taken 6 starlings in the low 40s yard range. All clean shots, lights out.
You could wait for the Dreamline, or you could get shooting now. Who knows what the waiting list is going to be like.
