My first pellet gun

Just finished the 

mods on my 2240.

I machined the breach out of aluminum stock with a spring chamber behind the bolt. The bolt is hardened 4140 machined with a slot to accomodate the cocking pin.

I added 3 set screws to secure the barrel to the breach which makes it rock solid and dead accurate out to @75 yards which as far as i can shoot right now.

Rear adjustable sight was machined from brass. Front sight is made from a screwdriver bit brazed into the home made barrel adapter.

I made the "muffler" from stainless tubing with machined delrin k baffles, and it works unbelievably well. No affect on accuracy.

The red dot sight is Chinese and works as well as any ive used on my ARs and other standard firearms.

I carved the grips to fit my hand and the improved feel and steadiness was worth the effort and time.

Very accurate and a blast to shoot.

Would you consider shortening the barrel a little and maybe a little cleaner mount for the red dot? 

Just an observation coming from some one who could never do as well.

Just an opinion based on esthetics and a first look.

Just curious what dead accurate at 75 yards means? Are you shooting paper for groups, silhouettes, field targets or just plinking? Not trying to bust on you I’m just curious. Cool custom build by the way. I have no skills in what you did there. It’s impressive what some of you guys do to these little co2 guns and I like seeing what people come up with. Thanks for sharing

Yep. It's still in progress. I'm making a folding stock for it next, and a barrel shroud that will replace the front barrel mount.

The barrel is 14" and a little unwieldy for one hand shooting, so yeah...i may shorten the barrel.

With what little shooting ive done today zeroing the red dot, im getting 1" groups at @ 75 yards...with a fresh Co2 cartridge. Thats better than i expected from a pellet gun, but to you who have been into it awhile, perhaps its not.

Also, thats using a rest...not one handed

Well in my book 1” groups at 75 yards with a co2 pistol qualifies as dead accurate. Even with a rest. I don’t have a convenient near by place to go out much further than 20 yards so I don’t know what my 2400KT can do. But I doubt I’ll be getting 1” groups. That’s nice shooting

Sweet! (It almost reminds me of the Automag Dirty Harry had in III).

Did you machine the 4140 yourself? I've been pondering different alloys for some modifications that I'm planning with a couple of my PCPs, 4140/4340 came to mind
