AEA My first.30 cal.

I have an AEA Challenger Standard .30 cal and have had no issues with it in the year I have owned it. Built like a tank and a bit heavy for long woods walks, but lots of power and accuracy is good. In my opion, the value for the money spent is there...
I’m a big fan of the wood stock too. What kinda range n shot count are you getting from it?

I have mine dialed down just a bit for better shot count. With Apolo 49 gn pellets I get 8 shots between 90 and 95 ft lbs. The NSA .303 slugs shoot well also.

The power is adjustable, so you can dial it up for bigger game or dial it down for shot count.

Range is a subjective estimate based on many factors. In Georgia, any game animal can be legally hunted with a .30 cal air rifle, so squirrel to blacl bear. Effective range would be very different for those extremes. My rifle has proven accurate enough to take a squirrel at 60 yards, standing propped against a tree. Your mileage will vary of course.

Thanks for the input. Happy shooting

Bought it and never got a chance to use it. I did fire a few rounds and can confirm it works. Just super busy with kids and life. Sure, I uploaded them here. If you’d like more pictures or have any questions let me know.
Mine just finished high school n this is the new hobby I took up. Totally get the kids n busy life. I’ll discuss it with my wife n get back to you. Happy wife happy life

Mags are trash and the triggers are not great. Accuracy is a barrel lottery, some are great most are mid and a few are terrible. You can tinker on it and make some improvements if you wanted, and there are aftermarket mags available. The Challengers are the best value AEA has in my opinion, but they recently raised prices and I think there are other better options. I would go for an Umarex Gauntlet 2 Side Lever. If you want to get something just for the power I would save a little more and get an AirForce Texan or something.
