Since I’ve got into springers this year and shown my dad what they can do. He says to me “I haven’t shot mine in years, why don’t you take it and get it sighted in and hang on to it for me. Which is code for I don’t have room in my gun safe. So being the good son I am I say sure . So he goes and digs out his old RWS48 and a few tins of RWS pellets and I take it home. Shot it long enough to realize it shot the RWS pellets horribly. So I ordered a few tins of JSB and H&N pellets. Once they came in I sighted in for them and shot serval groups of the different pellets.when I was done I sent him this pic and told him he should be good to go once rabbit season is upon us.

5 shot groups at 17yds. Shot the top group first then adjusted the elevation down one click and shot that group.

When i was 15, i walked in a police affiliated gun store and bought the same model for 300 bucks. It was on consignment and brought it home and thought this gun was the coolest ever. It was my first springer and shot it everyday after school until it broke. Being young then didnt occur to me hold on to it, That was 31 years ago

Same thing I basically did Ad1150. I got my 48 back in the 80's, it too was around 300 bucks. Mine was in 177. Very good shooting rifle...then got the bug for something else, and eventually sold it. Big mistake! 

The old "hind sight is 20 20" rule does come into play here.
