Last year I purchased an FX Maverick 25 cal sniper tuned it for pellets but after seeing everyone shoot slugs I jumped on the wagon. I first tried the hybrid and NSA 29.5. Hybrids were ok but the NSA 29.5 were spot on at 50 and 100. Not being able to leave well enough alone i bought more NSAs 33.5 36.2 34.9 38.5 38.9. And even some Zan 37 and 41. I purchased a heavy liner and tensioned my barrel. I went round and round chasing perfection. Well as good as I can get. I couldn’t get 33.5 and 36.2 to group well. Didn’t like how I had to push my gun so hard with a heavy hammer and high reg pressures to get the 34.9 and 38.9 at a faster speed. The Zans grouped as well as bird shot, in fact bird shot may go up better but I always seem to get ok groups out of the 38.5 in the heavy liner. Well today I slapped the original superior liner in dropped my rear reg from 140 to 130 and took out the slug power kit ans install the original hammer and probe. Adjusted the micro hammer a few turns and boy did she finally come together. My final tune NSA 38.5 at 917 fps. Front reg 175 rear reg 130 hammer spring 7 micro adjuster don’t know. First pic 100 yards 3 / 5 shot groups
Second pic 50 yard 2 / 5 shot groups
Third Pic is my gun.
