this is a case of an ongoing design. the pic on the left is the cheek piece i had papy_yosh make me, he followed my instructions PERFECTLY. after a few months i felt the appearence was a little pronounced for me. i attempted to give the piece a more "Bengal" look. it tones down the red , and i like the contrast better now. i don't expect all to agree. at the time i just did not wish to just go black with the cheek piece. appearence aside, gun works like a wonder, so smooth.

Looks like my eyeballs after a hard night of gin and tonic... ;) Nice job! What did you use to sand it to make it smoother?

I like the eye shot ;)

Regarding the sanding you can use any sand paper that you would use on wood. I would start 100, 200, then probably go up to 1000 max. The manufacturing of the part will have some porosity. If you want smooth smooth use a primer to finish and spray epoxy to fix it. I can sent you a failed parts to practice with the material

I like that, it would be so nice if could do direct print like that. I could but the time and cost would be crazy. probably 2 to 3 time more. I like the handy work though.
