I had been looking for one of the Colt Combat Vet 1911's so I put up a WTB ad on the various forums. I didn't have high hopes because it was a limited edition that sold in early 2016 but I thought I would try. I got an email from a very obvious scammer and he sent me some pics of what looked like a new in the box Combat Vet. First things first, I checked google images and found the pics he sent me but the funny thing was they were pictures from someones for sale ad in Canada (scammer claimed he lived in NC) and the ad was only a few days old. I contacted the real owner but he wasn't sure if he wanted to ship it across the border even though I assured him it would be no trouble. Anyway, Glem.Chally offered to have the seller mail him the pistol and then forward it onto me. The seller sent it to him and he quickly shipped it on to me, awesome! 

Thanks Glem for the help sir! And I'd also like to thank the scammer (sig man) for finding me the gun I was looking for!😂 Have pictures on my phone and will slap a few up in a minute...

This gun is essentially a Tanfoglio Witness with different markings on it plus the weathering made to look very much like the Colt 1911 that our troops carried in WWII (and so many other wars). It is probably the most accurate (close to the original) replica bb pistol that I have seen with the way it functions and comes apart just like the original 1911.

Talk about realism, this thing even has an interceptor notch on the trigger/sear/hammer so you can cock and load the gun with one in the chamber and drop the hammer to half cocked making the gun safe (without putting the safety on). I guess this is how most troops carried their 1911's overseas as it was faster to pull the hammer back the rest of the way then to take off the safety in combat (or maybe they were just used to single action pistols? Either way it is crazy the lengths that KWC went to make this gun as authentic as possible. I thought it might have just been a fluke but my John Wayne 1911 works the exact same way (again, same gun with different markings).

Edit disclaimer: if you have a KWC 1911, just use the safety so the gun doesn't go off "half cocked"? lol

Great pics! That is so cool!
I dig the wear-marks that they have on these..
That definitely adds to the in-service effect/look.

I got to shoot my friend Andrew's 1911 this past summer at our club/range, and it was a blast.
They're built like tanks, and pretty accurate at the 15-30 yard marks [I rarely shoot pistols]

"LIMITD" - It took me a few looks to catch that.. haha Nice! 😃
