Here's a two part video I did on cold Bluing . Hope you guys like it , and hopefully it'll help out a few guys who wanna try it for themselves. Thank in advance. Joe
Joe, really good point about the difference between the liquid and the creme!! The liquid is a pain compared to the creme. If anyone is gonna try cold blue, take Joe's words to heart!! BUY THE CREME!!
joe- have you ever tried baking the metal part in a low temp oven , or possible using a blow dryer / heat gun for a little hotter temperatures ? -- mark
Yeah mark it used both ...the heat gun just doesn't get ho enough and it doesn't get heat all thru the metal. The oven works great but can't for a barreleed action
Wish i would have known about the cream instead of the liquid when i did some blueing work on my snowblower a few years ago. MAHALO!!!!!! on the video there JOE............
Video removed by user? I have several videos on restoring my 1955-56 model 160, variant one .22 cal. Should be on here too, from my unionrdr YouTube channel. My airgun Shooter series, to be exact. Wood & metal finishing videos to check out as well.
Just started watching part 2 & my son walked in with the mail. My Ron Robertson scope mounts came in!! I'm installing the scope as I watch your video...
Its honestly really easy ! I did my barreled action by soaking it in hot water in the bath tub ..Came out REALLY nice ......Of course I set the stock on fire but that's a different story
