My brand new used compressor

My nomad ll crapped out after a couple hours use, I ended up receiving a credit so I bought this compressor instead.

2006 Alkin full auto 310 bar with 106 hours. It's virtually brand new, I bought it on Facebook of all places. $ 2100 us funds.

Looks like my 2004 model I just scored on, too! Good job!

The filter that you'll need for that is from filtertech.com, model #X14249. Around $44 bucks a piece.

If you run a 220V circuit brand new you can use #12 wire for up to 75’. I used #10 from my sub panel to my outlet, then bought a 25’ extension cord, #12 gage, then changed out the cord heads for a 220v/120A type heads.

of course check all your local codes and your current house wire status first.

Nice same unit, really well built. I have a medical grow room going with 220v so I just plugged it in. Alkin told me to never run it on a skid or dolly. They stated it needs to be on solid ground leveled or it will vibrate too much and fittings will come loose or crack, not sure if you took yours if the dolly I was going to build a dolly to.

Oh interesting, is this because of an increased SWR due to mechanical oscillation and harmonics? Makes sense but I noticed the wheeled feet on the front. I guess it oscillates mildly when on the ground? Make and just put some wheel chalks on the dolly?

Really nice setup/compressors -- congrats to both of you!

I’m actually going to place it on top of my 36” x 24” black construction rolling cart. Currently my Lightning is on it, and I am waiting for the time I get a couple of my sons friends over to pick it up for me and place it on the cart. I’d like to have it at hip level.

I thought that the lightning was heavy at 85 lbs. This Alkin could easily wrench a back if not careful, lol. It’s I believe 150 lbs of not more?
