My best shot yet - splitting a playing card at 55 meters freestanding!

Yes, today was a good day. I went outside with a goal of splitting a playing card at 55 meters, and after 25 shots of me not knowing that my gun didn't really like the pellets that I was using, my scope was not completely sighted in and was shooting a touch to the left, that my camera died on me (just great), and that I hit it before I went to check (or at least I'm 99% certain that was the case). I took about 25 shots in total give or take, and eventually I went to check on the target to find that I actually split it (well, not fully, but because it started to split at the tip of the card I'll count it):

Oh, and I have a quick question. I'm thinking about entering in the AGD #airgunsCAN competition (If I would be allowed to) and I would like to hear your opinion on which shot should I submit:
A: A recorded video of me splitting a playing card (on the third try) at 30 meters freestanding
B: A non-recorded (20ish shots until I hit it) 55 meters freestanding shot
What's better?

Thanks,

Antoni

To me it’s not such a fantastic feat if you simply shoot repeatedly over and over until you finally walk it in. It’s not really marksmanship if you miss more than you hit.

Well he is shooting off hand at something that less them half a millimeter thick after all. Even guys like Shooter1721 and 22plinkster will take multiple shoots to “walk in” a trick shot like that.

Yeah, I guess you are right. But to be fair I don't think you can (unless you are shooter1721 - but even he took 1-2 shots before he hit a card with a marauder freestanding at 50 yards and I was shooting at ~60.5 yards) consistently split a playing card at 55 meters offhand. My shooting curve usually goes from near misses at the start, a lot of unnecessary half-conscious shots in the middle, and then I start focusing and hit it in the end. I'll take the one at 30 meters when I hit it on the 3rd shot.

Thanks,

Antoni

Nice shooting Antoni. One shot or 25, that's doing fine shooting.

Freestanding / offhand shooting...is real shooting. Don't need no stinkin crutches

I've got a coupla "Robin Hoods" (one arrow inside the back of a previously shot arrow) with crossbows myself. Don't know about my pellet shooting, they're buried too deep in the target. Single hole shooting is fun though.
