My backyard range

I posted this a day before the switch over so I thought why not do it again. There are five Remington resettable target from a now confirmed(got my range/holdovers set with the S500) 14-45yds. The pics are random in order of distance.

The last two photo's are of the same target, the first from were I sit, the second zoomed in to show the target.

That reset string uses all 50yds it came with, down hill then uphill and over a few low hanging branches to my shooting spot.

Thanks CK. I'll take some pics for ya of my "long range" lane when i get the chance. 100yds easy with a nice tall hill to shoot into. No need to truck around a 1 ton backstop on this land ;) Plus it's zoned for agricultural use and well away from neighbors, fire arms are legal to shoot..............if I had any.

I like your woods hunt. I have eight-tenths of an acre in a foothill comunity where I can do some airgun shooting. I have on order crow, pig and rabbit resettable metal targets similar to the ones in your photos. I bought some spray paint and will be spraying the rabbit a tan color and the pig a brown color just for variety. My grandkids have enjoyed shooting reactive targets such as balloons, soda cans and plastic bottles filled with water. Upon my encouragement my wife is going to try airgunning too this Spring. (Don't tell her, but I plan on buying her a Discovery so she has her own air rifle to shoot.)

Thanks Haunted, DKL, Bob and Lawrence. The point of the rabbit between the trees is that it only gives me 6" window at 45yds to shoot a 1.5" kill zone. In even a slight wind holdover and hold off is very important and aids me in training for some of the more difficult shot's I encountered at the ft nationals last year. The tree's aren't right next to each other but staggered, on at 20yds and the other at about 30, and depending on the wind can sway opposite each other.

After looking at some of your ranges, I decided to "spruce" mine up a bit.

From my "inside" hidey-hole I have two 50 yard lanes set up. One for spinners and the other for golf tees and paint balls.

For my outside target, it is set for 60-75 yards and I plan to put some spinners on it.

View back to the house.

Here's a Google Earth shot. No way I can hit my neighbours. :)

And here are a few of my little girls.

Thanks for letting me share.

Keith.
