Nice rifle. So if Martin built it and tuned it to shoot accurately for BR, why do you insist on mucking it up to shoot bigger, faster and heavier slug/pellets?? If you wanted a Tinker Toy, you should have bought an FX.

Why do we further tune our rifles as soon as we get them? Where i trust Martin's abilities to tune the rifle, Still need to see for myself. basically to see if it can at a precision i desire. I usually come here for advice from people who are very knowledgeable, but in this case, with a different barrel than normally used, it's hard to gather information. I'm really not mucking anything up that can not be restored to original. Do i think i know more than Martin ..oh hell no!! Appreciate all the help this forum offers.
p.s. I can't afford a new rifle, but maybe it's not to far off in the the future

The truth is ... YES they can be made to work / perform better than they come from the manufacturer. Now granted very few know or understand what those changes may be ? but those who do continue to change stuff for the betterment of the platformHey JPS,

We're lucky here ... a few of our members (Motorhead/ect..) share their wisdom with the "Masses"
.Also, the RAW is a well constructed, very simple design ....... allowing for a few ... finer brush strokes to be made
.I wouldn't really consider making changes to a Thomas ....... they're way above my pay-grade.
