RAW Rapid My 3rd RAW. This time BM500X .22 with cut rifling barrel (pics)

Nice rifle. So if Martin built it and tuned it to shoot accurately for BR, why do you insist on mucking it up to shoot bigger, faster and heavier slug/pellets?? If you wanted a Tinker Toy, you should have bought an FX.
Hey JPS,
Some of us just can't leave well enough alone:p.
It defies logic and basic conservative thinking and assumes "WE" have the ability to make it better:whistle:.

I don't know how often the "Tinkerer" gene has created a fine mess ....... but I usually find a way out .......... with the help of others(y).

Why do we further tune our rifles as soon as we get them? Where i trust Martin's abilities to tune the rifle, Still need to see for myself. basically to see if it can at a precision i desire. I usually come here for advice from people who are very knowledgeable, but in this case, with a different barrel than normally used, it's hard to gather information. I'm really not mucking anything up that can not be restored to original. Do i think i know more than Martin ..oh hell no!! Appreciate all the help this forum offers.
p.s. I can't afford a new rifle, but maybe it's not to far off in the the future
Thanks all Michael

The truth is ... YES they can be made to work / perform better than they come from the manufacturer. Now granted very few know or understand what those changes may be ? but those who do continue to change stuff for the betterment of the platform

All I know if Mike or Martin builds a gun for me, I’m not touching it!
We're lucky here ... a few of our members (Motorhead/ect..) share their wisdom with the "Masses"(y).
Also, the RAW is a well constructed, very simple design ....... allowing for a few ... finer brush strokes to be made :) .

I wouldn't really consider making changes to a Thomas ....... they're way above my pay-grade.
