Got my first PCP delivered yesterday, and got the Discovery VT-2 4-16x50 scope mounted on it last night. Looking forward to putting some shots through it this weekend!

Very nice looking setup, from all my research that seems to be a great airgun for the price. I am too looking at buying my first pcp, and right now wavering between the Flash and Marauder. How are you planning to fill the tank?

Different models, but, I also have a Hatsan [Gladius] and Discovery [VT-T 6-24x50] setup..
They're a Great combo IMO, and I'm pretty sure that you'll be having an absolute blast!

Great rifle. One of the best values out there. I bought one in .22 because it was on sale. After I got it I had some buyer's remorse because it was an impulse buy. That feeling evaporated as soon as I started shooting it. I swear it shoots as well as my more expensive rifles. Take a little time adjusting the trigger, it is pretty darn good. Congratulations on an excellent choice.

@Aimright, I'll be using a Chinese hand pump to fill with air. I may get a pump somewhere down the road, but it's not financially possible for me now.
@TheGoose, I think it was one of your posts that helped steer me toward the Flash. I'll probably be posting soon for help in adjusting the trigger, unless I figure it out on YouTube.
The eye relief is kinda weird on this scope. I think it'll just take some getting used to.

Thanks, I would be interested in knowing how well you think the pump works, and where you got it. I am probably going to get one of those too - hoping my old man muscles and hernia scar are up to the job!

I'm no young whippersnapper, and certainly not in good shape (bad back among other things), so I'll be a good test case. I'll let you know this weekend. I bought one of the $38 Chinese pumps from Walmart. Yoosoo, I think.

Damon, I’m happy for your entry into this pcp game, but take it from a guy who got into this game a year and two months ago, with a bad back, and an ego that said “you still got it, dude!” And bought an expensive Hill hand pump- you’re gonna regret pumping after two maybe three outings at it.
Pumping an air rifle takes correct technique; bend at the knees, arms stiff, ya da yada yada... but if you’re tall(I’m 6’3”, 235 lbs, hence the ego) and you’re trying to squeeze out more pumps to get that gun exactly full, it will strain your back. And that’s if you’re in shape! Take it from me, bro, if you haven’t had any surgeries yet, you’ll add to the pain that will lead up to it. I’ve had 7 back surgeries, plus 2 neck fusions and 3 knee surgeries. I was a totally, dumb, idiot for thinking “I still had it” .
so, what to do? Save up and invest in a tank, and hope you have a fill station somewhere, like I did, or even less expensive than a carbon fiber tank is a portable 12vokt/110 compressor to fill your gun only, like the Hatsan Spark, which if you go to field supply.com, has those all day long at the lowest of prices. There are some good feedback from others that have recently invested in this.

Great looking rifle. I'll be following to see your impressions of accuracy. I'm in the process of trying to find a good PCP. I'm torn between a Air Arms s510 and a FX Dreamline .22 . I'm 75YO and will definetly want a compressor. I have 2 80 Cu. Ft. Scuba tanks 3000 PSI but I don't know if they would be good with either of these guns. I have a Diana 45 and I'm tired of break barrel cocking.

@Bigragu, thanks for sharing your experience with hand pumping. I did it twice today, and yes, it's a good workout. The 2nd time, I used my back brace (forgot it the first time), but the 2nd time seemed to be a lot more work. I'm a little sore, and I'm sure I'll feel it tomorrow. But I'm not very active so it feels kinda good to do something. Whether I get tired of it or not, time will tell. Very possible I'll get sick of it and save for a Yong Heng or Hatsan Spark.
@Surfer44, I'm incredibly impressed with the short range accuracy so far. I have a short 15-yard range in my basement, and I was able to put hole-in-hole right down the middle, with JSB Jumbo Heavy 18 gr pellets. Most of the other pellets I tried were fairly accurate as well. Can't wait to shoot it somewhere where I have more room, to see how far I can stretch it out.

Tune the hammer spring to account for more shots at a lower power. Might save more time in between pumping. Now if you had a airgun with a bigger air reservoir I'd consider a compressor but that's the beauty with the flash its 165cc easier to pump to pressure.

Damon, oh man don’t say that, I wanted you to be the hard as nails guy that would set the example for the rest of us old dudes hand pumping a pcp and smiling through the pain! Well I have taken the plunge and have a gun and chinese pump coming next week, will see how it goes. Looks like your choice in the Flash was a good one.

LOL! I'd have to say that I didn't really mind the hand pumping, I did it twice on Saturday. And I really don't shoot a lot, so it's not like I'm going to constantly be pumping. Having said that, my cousin said the other day that a friend of ours is trying to put together a day at the range for some friends. A compressor would be nice to have at a time like that, when I might be shooting a lot and other might want to shoot it as well.
