Benjamin Muting the Marauder (How to make the quietest Marauder possible)

I modified the factory depinger in my Marauder. It looks like a piece of rubber hose.
I drilled 3 holes on four sides of the depinger. I think that it had 8 grooves on the outside of it. I then stitched some Dacron fishing line to make the inside of it look like a fish net.
It works well.

I use the one inch brush from this kit or similar from Ace. I cut the handle end off to shorten it and then bend it over to make a hook or loop so that I can grab it and pull it out for maintenance.

I ended up removing my depinger after I installed the huma regulator. I read it wouldn’t make much difference at that point, what’s your experience?

A depinger of any sort is no longer needed with a regulator. Remove it.

The M-Rods with aluminum air tubes do not really ping, it is more of a thunk. With a reg there is nothing to deping. Aluminum tubes are just so quiet in comparison to the steel tubes that ring like a bell.

Hope it helped. My results with the JSAR hammer actually was not what I expected. The extremely low pressure with the light Hill Hammer and peek striker is by far the quieter option, and I felt I had more control over FPE with that hammer as well.
