Last week before Thanksgiving I had a frustrating time at the dairy... I had three misses on rats, before I corrected my mistake. And ended up with one lone kill out of a possible 4. This particular rat was taken at 40 yards.
Today I arrived and there were over 100 pigeons on the roof ridge line circled in yellow. I should’ve taken a picture of the birds, but wanted to get to shooting. Took pigeon #1 at 60 yards off the roof, shot pigeon #2 at 65 yards in the field on the ground and pigeon #3 at 50 yards on the ground. These three kills were witnessed by the dairy owner. The pigeon in the photo was my best shot of the day at 77 yards, (Shooting position circled in red) it was a lights out kill.
My first rat of the day was a forty yard headshot on the fatty at the top. The second rat was shot at twenty yards while facing me. I had it lined up for the kill but was interrupted by the owner passing through. So, I tagged a few sparrows and had the Raptor circled in red take one for a snack. Then came back and bagged that second rat. The third rat was shot at twenty five yards and the fourth rat was shot at forty yards. All in all the Bantam Sniper HR was outstanding, sending 18 JSB Exacts with deadly precision. I am loving the Athlon Helos reticle for clear kill shots on small critters.
