MSA 45minute tanks Ebay, would you buy these?

Look at the pic. The carbon fiber is peeling off. The tank looks like its be thrown into a fire pit, drag by a 4x4 truck, and dropped off a plane. Lol. I wouldn't pay $130 for it. Hey I wouldn't even pay $20 for it. If you don't wanna spend $600 on a new thank, aces care sells tanks with valves for $260 with $50 shipping for a brand new tank and valves.

nope .. i got one 'with' a valve and free shipping for 65 on ebay just a couple weeks back .. could be theyre all depleted .. doubt it, i wouldnt pay more than 100 for one with a valve thats expired though and thats with shipping .. the tanks are expired but if your filling them yourself they say the cf tanks are good for like double their rating or 30 years .. you still will need a cga347 pcp fill adapter, you can find a cheap one to start with for 50-55 ...

Did you read the description as the seller recommends doing? HALF INCH of resin & fiber missing in spots! It's insane to be selling them, let alone asking $110! @qbqall quoted $100+ on valves. I can get them out to people who are in need for $30 refurbished & recertified. Do you have a compressor? See if you can find a tank, no valve. I've seen them on Ebay for as low as $38.

Ok, given the unanimous, vociferous, feedback, condition is the key ingredient to buying a tank vs time left on the 15 yr DOT certifcation. I didn't relalize that these tanks are rated for 30 years (10519) but llimited to 15 years due to DOT. Perhaps you'll like this one better ;)... Paid $60 for a Interspiro 30 minute tank this morning. Have a Yong Heng coming in today. Now off to search for a filling station valve.

Since I have a Huma regulated Mrod (without gauge port), I need an accurate gauge on my CGA347 filling station. Rather than go cheap on that item, does the Stickman Stikboy fill the bill?

Yes, I recently finished my setup with a 30 minute tank and Stikman and I love it. You can tell that Stikman was made with quality in mind, and I would think Stikboy would be exactly the same (although maybe not quite as convenient without the other port).
