The M rods still are great performers. I have one in each gauge (177 and 22 gen 1, 25 armada) and only shoot targets to 50 yards and depending on the conditions i get half to .7 groups all day.
I do shoot empty milk gallon containers at anywhere from 75 to 100 yards and hit it 8 of 10 times all day.
I think they are pretty quite, but noise on the farm isn't an issue, the cows make way more noise than the Mrod, lol.
Simple, reliable guns.
