interesting FB chat with Anschutz (maker of the Steyr airgun+) about using .22 pellets by anyone but JSB ... see below ... 

If something goes wrong, the rifle is damaged, receiver blows up, pellet veers off course and kills a prize rooster, "theory" does little to correct the problem. That question is better posed to the pellet maker and their assurances to correct any problems that may develop. We use JSB and have never felt the need to look further.interesting

Thoughts from anybody using Nielsen &/or Mr Hollow Point pellets in their Lothar Walther barrels?

How can the receiver blow up, damage the rifle by using non-JSB pellets?
