i only use pure lead for my casting. tin does help but mainly with pellets. with my slugs i only use pure lead, no tin in the mix at all.

This was my first time to mold the slugs are not too bad but I faced two problems. 1: the rings around the slugs were not as good as should be they are very light rings on my slugs. 2: some slugs were having deep lines on the nose I shared the pictures before. Some mold user's told me to use tin in the mixture to expand the lead to get good rings on the slugs and some told me to increase the temperature of lead and mold to get better fill. I hope this will help me in next molding.
