Gonna buy a impact .25 with slug liner in 600mm. I prefer shorter over the 700mm. What is the best speed for shooting slugs? Can stock impact 600 push slugs over 900fps? Or do I need to mod it? I hear slug likes being shot close to 1000 fps. Or is 800-900 good?

Plan to shoot some nelsen slugs..maybe the 34.9gr or 39gr. What speed do I need to hit to get the best accuracy from fx 25 cal liner 600mm.

I'm not an FX guy. But, slugs are the only thing I shoot.....
If your serious about slugs, I'd recommend the longer barrel. Easier to get the higher velocity at lower regulator settings.

2fast. If you are going with a stock gun and a 600 mm barrel you will probably top out at around 860fps with a 36 grain slug. 920 fps if you shoot 32 grainers.
I am a huge fan of Nielsen slugs, but I am going to be trying some varmint knockers next, because dale offers some lighter slugs and I crave more speed. The VK also seem to “pop” the birds harder. When Bob brought me some to try last week the 32 grain slugs held some promise, but I need to play with my tune to match them a bit.
I wouldn’t try to get too much over 900fps in general, and you won’t with a 600mm unless you mod it up and burn through air like crazy.
If slugs are really gonna be your game, I highly recommend going with the 700mm barrel. If you don’t, you will always be maxing your gun chasing speed. How do I know? I shoot a 600mm FX with slugs right next to a guy (norm) shooting a 700mm FX with slugs There is a large difference.

Between the 34.7gr and the 39gr. I had better luck with the 34.7gr at between 880-910fps Every gun is different but this is a good starting point. They did shoot well but I do prefer the Varmint Knockers.
