Morning out with CENTERCUT & the PANTHERA!

Got together with my pal Mike Bricker (Centercut) this morning after the weather kept ruining our previous plans. He's wanted to try his Panthera @ 200 yards & a new permission I picked up fit the bill. As always, it was great spending the time with him & getting a chance to shoot the new gun (.25, 600mm barrel) was AWESOME! Thanks Mike! I hope he'll chime in on this to list the specs on the Panthera (ammo type & weight, fps & other relevant facts). If you look at the picture of Mike laying prone, 200 yards ahead there's a microscopic white rectangle. In reality, that's my target board with Ten 8" targets on it. Kind of gives you a perspective of how FAR that actually is. The picture of the target shows MY first 5 shots trying the Panthera. The fact I could even get on paper at that distance blows me away, let alone that my first 2 shots were IN THE BULLSEYE!!! It's absolutely incredible how airguns have evolved in the last 2 or 3 years! Altogether, a stellar morning for me.
NOTE: Yes, I know the target is upside down. That's the way I mounted it on the stand (not intentionally) & not a fault of downloading picture incorrectly.

Had a great time Gerry. That’s a .25 Panthera 600mm shooting 49.5 grain Altaros ATP Smooth slugs at 885 to 890 fps, or about 87 FPE. We were getting a magazine and a half (23 to 24 shots) from a 250 bar fill down to 150 bar, with reg at about 142 bar.
We also saw one Ground Squirrel at 98 yards and double tapped him with the .25 Panther (Bagheera) and .30 Boss.
Finally a sunny warm day!!! Breezy when we started, windy near the end of the morning.

Nine, maybe ten (not sure) shots at 198 yards. Swinger is 4” diameter. After it started to get windy. Didn’t miss one. Wind right to left.
The center middle part of the target is 4 or 5 shots.

This Panthera has me seriously thinking of jumping back on the FX train! Can't decide if I wanna go .22 or .25.
Would be mainly for long range pigeon on silos and barns. And woodchucks will be poking their sneaky heads out before long.
Nice write up and looks like you had a blast!
Still cold and windy as hell up here in Michigan but good weather right around the corner.

That was fun. We were playing “make it, take it”. You shot until you missed. It was pretty easy so I stopped after 5 each time so Gerry could shoot the gun and have some fun. That was his best gong, very good grouping there at 200 yards prone. Impressive shooting Gerry!

Impressive shooting, I have a Stable Table and it's not very stable at all, not sure if I got a stinker or they or all like that? Glad to see your leak has been sorted Centercut.
Thanks but no, still leaks. Now it’s about 30 to 40 bar overnight. Probably a slightly bent valve stem or a regulator slow leak. I don’t want to send it back till after RMAC. Maybe FX will come out with a class problem for these slow leaks?

FYI, the scope on the gun is an Arken EP-4 MOA 6-24x. I bought it about 3 years ago when they first came out. I saw it at SHOT 2020 and talked to the founders, the main owner is a former Navy SEAL. Japanese glass but assembled in China. 34 mm tube. For the money it’s hard to beat. When I was at LDs a couple weeks ago I compared it to a Delta Stryker he had recently bought. No, the Arken isn’t better, but it’s dam close at 1/3 the price.
