More Armadillo Pest Control

I've been working these animals at a few properties this week. Here are some photos and video footage.

If you didn't think these animals could run fast, think again. I'd shot two before this was captured. They ran in two different directions with this one slipping back under the fence after my dog was stuck on the other side trying to keep up. He ditched the dog in high weeds where I know there are at least three burrows.

Here they are searching for food in areas of the grass that armadillos and a hog have torn up on previous nights.

Below is footage of my dog's first armadillo retrieval. They'd been digging up the lawn and he tried to warn me one night, but I failed to investigate. We got this one a night or two later. He isn't trained to do this, it's something he took to doing naturally. I'd shot this one with my Huben K1 using a cheap, green, rifle-mounted torch shooting JSB MRD pellets. I took a shot ( I may have shot it twice I can't recall), it fell over, the dog rushed it, it jumped up and a chase ensued ending in what you see in the clip. Next I head-shot it at close range once I got control of the dog.

This week I think I've shot 7 of them and we retrieved 4.

I'll add more photos in a bit.

This big fella was shot twice with my .22 Huben K1 shooting JSB MRD domed pellets from an estimated 25-30 yards out. I shot from a kneeling position. It was then chased down and caught by my dog early this morning. It barely made it under the fence.

What brought me to this property was damage to the lawn by a hog. I never saw the hog or any other sign of it in the residential portion. I still have some investigating to do.
