Western Airguns Mordax pcp!

FYI - I wrote to AoA about the bottle adapter.
  1. I heard a rumor on AGN that there’s a bottle adapter in the works for the mordax, is that true? If so, any timeframe?- We are expecting them in roughly 2 months
So, the rumor is not a rumor - it's true.

The bottle adapter is in the works for the Mordax.

Chris also said they have a tube clamp for the modax to add a pic rail (I originally asked for the tube diameter to see if the Buck-Rail tube clamp would work)... and they have one that'll be added to the site shortly (in stock). I asked if it was 3D printed... no answer yet. It is 3D printed.
Peace,
Mark

One other thing that I heard people talking about on this thread was with regard to concern about noise from blowout at the magazine, with this PCP that’s really not an issue. I was at Edgun West Wednesday or Thursday last week and Brian put a behemoth with five sections on a 22 that was turned up to about 150 bar and literally all you could hear was click click click click. No exaggeration. It was the same thing with my 30 caliber sidewinder, five section behemoth on that thing all you could hear was action, no blowout, the wind resistance from the slug, and Impact. But on the 30 caliber that was with a shroud, once I converted it to a 350 and there was no shroud It was a little bit of a different story. Still quiet, but not stupid quiet. On the Morax that Barrel housing looks really cool, but ultimately with a drop-down bottle adapter the smartest thing to do with that on a 25 or 30 caliber with a short barrel will be to have a blowback shroud. Inevitably the bottle is gonna be longer than the short barrel, so it will probably be a matter of the blowback section of the shroud after the barrel flushing out about with the end of the bottle to optimize quiet/shot count/compact balance.
Wow, This is great info, I have a Mordax in .25 with Donny FL Yokozuna on it and it's still pretty loud for the backyard. I'll try the behemoth, thanks

I have it in .30 (had mine converted two weeks ago) and I feel like it was worth it. Darren tuned it for me at ~155/160bar on the reg and I can shoot a full mag at full power (12 shots give or take 2-3 shots) before it comes off the regulator.

I’m happy with the power it generates.

It’s really fun to shoot, especially when my finger slips and it dumps a mag in 3 seconds. 🤩
That is pretty badass, what speed are you shooting the .30 and what weight? The mordax long strike looks like an awesome compact backpacker with a punch.

I don’t get why the shorty costs like $500 more though. Oh wait actually I think I do… the words “money hungry” comes to mind
Do you work for free? I'm well over $2k for mine and think I got it good. Now I have a 900fps conceal carry .25 cal semi auto with hollow point slugs with no government hassle. It's also the one gun I'd chose/ the super shorty if I had to chose just one.

Safe to say, I’d choose the super shorty over a lot of airguns I’ve owned. Put a brace and sling on it and it makes for a fine backpacking tool as well.
