Is the cocking effort on the Mora less than a Prophet 1? Is it comparable to a Vet 2?

I have the Mora and Vet II. The cocking is very easy on both the Mora and Vet but very different.
On the Mora the small amount of cocking effort is only felt in the last maybe inch of the travel, being smooth all the way till then and very smooth on the last inch as well.
The vet is like moly greased bearings being pulled across bacon grease on black ice with smooth pressure the entire length.
Both are great but the Vet wins against anything I've owned.

I cannot compare how the cocking feels as I do not have a Prophet nor a Vet2. What I will say is I do not like how long the cocking action lever action is - it feels like you are pulling it for almost 6-8" to fully cock the rifle. The level of force is pretty low.

If you mean the throw, Taipan has a fairly long one ( vet 2 ) The mora should be shorter. My friend just got a mora and we haven't had chance to shoot it yet.

Yes - the Mora. Very long cocking movement, although I've read they shorted the lever a bit on the newer version to not cover the pressure gauge.
