Moderator for BT 65 .30

Any advice on the best moderator for the BT 65 .30?

I am open to any suggestions!

4 choices DonnyFL Emperor with add on extender depends how much power. Neil Clague Custom made. Roy K Rapidroy custom made. Huggett Magna or if their new one if it's bigger. I have all mentioned on 30 cal to 375-9mm except for the DonnyFL extender on a Benj Bulldog. The Roy K is the quietest for a 150ft to 200 ft pound gun depending on ammo to make it dead silent but it's by far the biggest of them all like a Pringles can maybe longer than that. YO!

There’s several different manufacturers of moderator’s out there, as for which one is the best is hard to determine. I have DonnyFL, Hugget, and Neil Clague moderators but they all sound different for each gun. The DonnyFL on my veteran, cricket, and uragan sound the quietest, the Hugget on my bantam sounds the quietest, and the Clague on my slayer sounds the quietest. I would have to say DonnyFL would be your best bet as that’s what most guys put on their Hatsan’s.

Noticed a 30 carnivore BT65 is only doing 75ft lbs so a DonnyFL Emperor or Huggett Magna would do just fine. They are about equal in quiet and the only difference is Huggett Magna is lighter. I have a Neil Clague on my 30 FX Bobcat doing 79fpe and it's really quiet and smaller than both Huggett and DonnyFL mentioned. YO!

I put a Donny Ronin on my .25 when I owned one. It was amazing! If yours is the same caliber I still have the adapter for the QE shroud. My Ronin went on the shroud end not directly on the barrel end. EXTREMELY quiet & MORE ACCURATE with the Donny. (.30 Ronin on a .25 QE) if you go with that I'll sell the adapter to you CHEAPER than list.

Thanks guys!! Neil is working on one for my Sumatra .25 so this will be my first from him..



I have a Donny Sumo on my Gauntlet with the short shroud kit and that is quiet...



Just not sure on the higher FPE.30 on which way to go......

Will do some checking and see but the Donny sounds like a good choice but will depend on what I see from Neil on the Sumatra....
