Moderator for AA TX200 HC .22 cal

To current owners who have added a moderator to this carbine? Which one are you using? Is an adaptor required? Are you pleased with the quietness improvement?

I am on the fence between the regular rifle and the carbine. Help out this old guy.

I own a standard TX200 rifle in.22 and a TX200HC in walnut, both tuned with Vortek kits. I can’t imagine a moderator helping out either one to any degree. They are not at all like pcps, and I think the noise generated is more spring and action noise rather than barrel concussion. 


I love both of my rifles and would not part with either, but if I could only have one, it would probably be the HC.

What ever turns your wheels but, the TX has a built-in moderator..

FWIW, This is the junction for the moderator on my HW95L. 1/2" threads & 3/4" long. Very solid and female threads start after the moderator bevel.

I have a prosport, and a moderator quieted it down a lot.
