Missing 411

Has anyone watched these videos on YouTube? I personally have watched a bunch. I just can’t wrap my head around what’s happening to these people, a lot of it doesn't make sense, maybe its the mystery of it that pulls me in to watching more. Or that I’m trying to come up with some explanation to the why of it all. The strangest of them are very experienced outdoorsman and hunters vanish, they could shoot their weapons if lost, have a gps, radios, cell phones, have the skills to light a fire. David Palidas seems credible being a detective. The unexplained wrings my brain up.

two things explain 99% of it ... ive been into really remote places since i was a kid, and alot of people these days think its 'cutsie' to go backpacking way out in the bush with no experience or outdoors background and usually unarmed on top of it ... theres big mean animals out there, and there are bad people that hide out way out waiting for some moron to come along like red riding hood skipping through the woods, and simple nature can get you, rock slides etc can bury you permanently if your brain is switched off and your in 'cutsie backpacking' mode... the other reason is people want to disappear for insurance to family depression or maybe theyre in deep sht etc ... but aliens and govt experiments ..nah .. not likely ...

Dizzums,

im assume your not addressing me since I stated I backpack but the sheeple who fill our country. I could not agree more with you. NEVER go into the wilderness alone and never go if your not experienced. I’m always armed and trained and the only skills my father imparted to my brother and myself was hunting and fishing. Experience teaches you to be in tune with nature and recognize when a predator is stalking you. Which is what probably happened to 99.9% of the people who disappear but there still is a small percentage of wtf still out there.

Some things from Missing 411 “The Hunted” left me scratching my head. Especially the recordings from the remote hunting camp. But I also understand that once a human being becomes panicked and disoriented, things can go south quickly. Just because someone is a great outdoorsman on the surface doesn’t mean that under stress or when they lose control of a situation that they have the mental capacity not to snap and do bizarre things.

About 12 years ago I spent the night in the hospital on an IV after a severe case of gastroenteritis. A day or two later I thought I was feeling better and my dog was all wound up from no exercise so I decided to take him for a hike. And of course rather than picking a trail I just wandered off into a section of our million acre national forest.

Well it turns out I wasn't 100% and got disoriented. I headed back to the car and about 10 minutes later ended up at the same location where I had decided to head back. My mind went into panic mode. I remember looking at a known rock formation with the sun setting on my left shoulder. I was able to rationalize that I was facing north and that there was a well traveled Forest Service road between me and that rock formation but I couldn't bring myself to head in that direction in fear of making things worse. It was a very bizarre experience.

As it turns out my dog got me back to my car by following our scent trail back. Up until that point I had always considered myself to have decent skills in the woods. After that I decided to improve my skills, and I have. People consider me to be slightly crazy for some of the back country hikes I do but I want to do them when I'm feeling good so I'm more confident in my skills when I'm not.

I have since gone back to the same area and it's amazing how small of a patch of land I was lost in.

Got it all figured out huh? Without any investigating or research, or even watching any of the videos.

A lot of these people are found with mysterious reasons of how and where they are found. There is a “freedom of information act” but the government wont release any information to aid investigators with these disappearances, even with the laws of missing and exploited children they wont volunteer information.

its not people that think it’s “cutsie”, these are human beings, children, accomplished, hikers, hunters, guides.

Nation,

I had an experience in the spring of 2011, in upstate NY, near the Vermont border. Lots of woods, desolate areas, and wildlife. After my experience, I'll NEVER go into the woods alone, or at night ever again. I had a Colt 1911 .45 with 3 magazines, and over 50 rounds of 240 grain military ball ammunition, and was scared poop. What I heard and experienced, were from no animal that is known. When something throws a rock the size of a basketball over 50 yards into a lake, it's time to get out of Dodge.

I'm well versed on animals and wildlife, and this was an experience that I'll never forget. Haven't been in the woods since.....I'll leave it at that.

I had a very unusual experience in the woods while hunting with my dad as a kid. What’s weird is in over 40 years of hearing strange things that happen to people, I’ve never heard anything even remotely related to our experience. I remember badgering my dad on the way home. He said I think we should just let it go. He never spoke of it again. I never had a Bigfoot type experience in the woods and I have no interest in having one. It would be horrible if the woods became a place I feared.

Dave Paulides started the real Missing 411. They were first a series of books. Then he made videos about it, but I couldn't find them on a quick YT search.

Dave's original Missing 411 series of videos were way more freaky than the copycat videos just reporting on it. I mean super scary. and Dave is the real deal. If anyone knows where to find those original videos, put a link.

I think this is what it turned into:

In the Rockies people, light plains, cars and 4 wheel drives, hunters, hikers and people who don't plan for what if---. They just can't be found. But many have been found, some 20 even 50 years later. Fell down a crevasse, flew into a glacier in the winter and climate change is just beginning to melt them, lady drove her car off a narrow black top road and the car she was trapped in could not be seen from the road. Phones don't work in our mountain wilderness. Gunshots don't really carry as far as you think. Parents and infant in N Dakota Froze to death driving on a 2 lane blacktop road between 2 towns less than 10 miles apart. I decided long ago if you aren't dressed to walk home you aren't dressed to drive anywhere. I still remember Be Prepared. We all know about telling someone what route you will take and all the other precautions. Unusual thing happen, try not to be one. Happy 4th, home of the free and land of the brave.

I know I’ve had my run ins, and the feeling of being watched at night in camp. Somewhat spooky happenings. Another i dont get is “Skinwalker Ranch”,my grandpa took care of the farm right next to it, and my dad was born in Randalette which is only a few miles southeast of it, and they never talked about it, this was way before the Sherman’s bought it.

Me and my friends would fish in the White river and some of the tributaries for catfish all night by lantern, and never heard or saw anything. And some of the places we fished we wasnt more than a hundred yards. There is a canal that runs all along Skinwalker ranch, and we used to tube down that canal. We would fish at night cause a lot of that land is tribal, and as we were kids, we didn’t want to pay for tribal permits, so we fished at night. Its suppose to be the biggest paranormal place on the earth.

I remember my tribal friends were scared poopless about it, Fort Duchesne is just a couple of miles north, and its 95% tribal community. They would refuse to go fishing or plinking prairie dogs in the area. But I get that about spooky places.
