Minilmalist Marauder P Stock 2.1 Updated

Fresh off the mill, a folding stock that weighs less than half the weight of the retracting stock from a couple years ago at 6 ounces. The new design replaces the rear end cap and uses the same screws to hold it in securely while still being able to access the hammer preload. I wanted to be able to adjust any inherent play out and this is done with two opposing setscrews. I was experimenting with an adjustable butt plate that can move in both up and down and for comparison, a fixed version with a little more length but slimmer in width.

Here is what it will look like with the improved buttplate and flat head screws. This version also has LOP adjustment via threaded mount with a castle nut arrangement.

*Check out the lastest post for new pictures and refinements made to the design.

Lee, are these available for the rifles? I understand a lot else has to be done, such as trigger group change, etc. Just curious. Also, curious to know if it is available for rifles, do you sell the conversion over in kit form?

I am staring out with the Prod version first but the rifle version in kit form is definitely a possibility. Some have used the Prod grip to adapt to the Mrod for using the retracting stock such as akuric from above. I have developed a trigger guard conversion that will accept AR pistol grips that mounts over the trigger group.

Thanks, I think they look and feel much better. This version is a lot more solid solution for attaching the buttplate. In the folded position, the adapter measuring from the edge of the breach to the adapter, it protrudes out 1.25". The LOP can be adjusted from 12.5 to 13.75". The only stock locks in the open position as of now but I have thought about using a tension adjustable spring loaded ball bearing with an indent machined into the opposing surface to hold it in the folded position.

Nice work Lee. I like that it's all one unit and is small enough that the bolt clears the folding mechanism when cocking. I'm interested in getting one when they're done. Keep us posted.

Thank you. That is my design goal for the improved stock and something integrates seamlessly into the Prod without all the bulk of other known folding stock options without sacrificing rigidity. I got some fresh tools that just came in so only have 2 more parts to make to complete the stock. I will post pictures when its put together before I anodize it.
